帕劳水母湖 世界上独一无二的无毒水母

 

           

     湖中大多数海洋生物都随着养分的消耗而消亡，只剩下了一种低等的、靠少量微生物就可以生存的海洋生物——水母。由于天敌们的消失，这些水母“遗失”了祖先用以防卫自身的武器——身体内的毒素。这样，帕劳水母湖拥有了世界上独一无二的无毒水母。

       水母湖是帕劳最具特色的景点之一。在数万年前，水母湖曾是海的一部分，由于地壳运动，周围的海床升高，逐渐将它与外海隔绝，形成了一个看似普通的内陆咸水湖。
